Moored Current Measurements in Flemish Pass

Moored instruments were deployed over the water column at two sites across Flemish Pass, from May 2002 to May 2005. Support was provided by the Panel on Energy Research and Development (PERD) and three oil and gas companies (Petro-Canada, EnCana Corporation, and Chevron Canada Resources).

The approximate water depths and positions, and the BIO Consecutive Numbers for the moorings (for cross-referencing the datafiles in the ODI database) are given in the following table.
Site Water Depth (m) Latitude (N) Longitude (W) BIO Consecutive Mooring Numbers
FP-A 400 47° 47° 18' 1450, 1457, 1493, 1507
FP-B 1100 47° 47° 03' 1451, 1458, 1494, 1508
